Kita Alps, Honshu, 4 day Alpine Trek

Please scroll down to check out the full details of this trip:

Join Japan Adventures four day ridge hike that will take you across one arm of the kita alps. Some of the summits we will climb include Karamatsu dake (2,696 meters) Goryu dake (2,841 meters) Kashima yari ga take (2,889 meters). Every day along this trek will bring something new and breathtaking.

The route we will take between Goryu dake and Kashima yari ga take has been described as some of the most spectacular hiking in Japan. This section of the hike in particular is not easy hiking and will involve lots of rock scrambling with the assistance of fixed chains.

On this trek we will spend one night in a Japanese style hiking hut where we will eat two delicious home cooked meals and camping the other two nights. We will carry everything that is needed for the four days of the trip.

We will began our hike at the top of the happo one lifts and finish on the other side of the mountains at Ogisawa. At Ogisawa we will take a local bus to Shinano omachi where we can have an onsen after roughing it for four days and catch a bus or train back home.
